It’s ‘Water, Water, Everywhere’ at The Springs of Mill Lakes!
People buy homes for lots of different reasons. Like location, floorplan or even the neighborhood. Have you ever heard of anyone buying a home because it comes with its own fishing lake?! Welcome to The Springs of Mill Lakes, an active adult community in Opelika where serious anglers, and their not-so-serious grandchildren make memories for a lifetime fishing in our bass-stocked lake!
Last December we initially stocked the fishing lake with 4,500 bluegill and minnows. This month we’re introducing northern strain largemouth bass (about eight to ten inches!) and golden shiners to the mix. By the Fall, the fish will be ready for catch and release. And not long after that it will be time to catch, cook and eat!
If fishing isn’t your thing, The Springs of Mill Lakes has a second lake just for you! It’s a restful recreation lake, perfect for canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating! Maybe you prefer floating on a comfy blowup raft to paddling? You’re also in luck. The Springs of Mill Lakes zero-entry crystal pool is a stunning setting to while away an afternoon. It’s perched on a bluff overlooking both lakes. It’s also a summertime social hub for all kinds of gatherings and good times. And if you prefer dry ground, you’ll love heading out on our nature trails to discover waterfalls, creeks and more on our 80-acre property.
If you’re getting the feeling that The Springs of Mill Lakes takes fun seriously, you’re absolutely correct! Neighbors quickly become friends in our friendly, outgoing community. There’s always something going on at the Owl’s Roost, our 10,000-square-foot clubhouse. And you’re a short drive to downtown Opelika and awesome Auburn, home of great food, football, shopping and healthcare.
Call, click or come by soon. We’d love to show you around. Our freestanding ranch homes make life easy. Kitchens are gleaming with the newest appliances and finishes. And the floorplans are wide open, with plenty of room for the grandkids (and, if they ask nicely, their parents, too!)
